Abstract

One of the main requirements imposed on integrated indices is the independence of their components. In actual practice, a set of reliability, cost-effectiveness and safety indices of electric power facilities are known. It is based on real opportunities for data collection. The number of such technical and economic indicators varies from units to tens. If necessary, the informational content of the integrated estimates can be enhanced by involving the data on ratings and operation conditions. The joint use of these data, however, often encounters difficulties connected with the difference in both the scale of their measurement and the extent to which they are interrelated. The methods, algorithms, and subprograms are developed to select independent technical and economic indicators that increase the reliability of comparison and ranking of the facilities and to make recommendations for the improvement of the reliability and cost-effectiveness of their operation.
