This study presents the results of a condition assessment of internal insulation across the power transformers operating at a regional utility. The assessment is based on physical (interfacial tension) and chemical (methanol and ethanol concentrations) aging markers of internal insulation. The results demonstrate that these markers enable the effective in-service assessment of the degree of transformer insulation aging
